I like to welcome each summer with a unique scent that will remind me of sunny days every time I spray it!  I think I’ve found the perfect fragrance for summer 2011 – Harajuku Lovers G of the Sea.  This is a fresh aquatic scent with a citrus woody floral tone that reminds me of all things beach, sun, and sand!  At first spray you get a mist of crisp apple, water lily and mixed berry, which then deepens into a more romantic floral scent.  Over time you’ll pick up on smooth sun-drenched woods, musks and amberwood.  The combination of scents blend together beautifully to create a gorgeous fragrance.  I can’t wait to start creating summer memories with this on!

GS Approved: Bottle and carton designers Gwen Stefani and Coty Prestige hit the nail on the head with the unique mermaid packaging.  This summer, G is a sassy mermaid with golden locks, a seashell bikini top and a bright blue mermaid tale.  It’s fun, flirty, and ultra girly – they couldn’t have encompassed the essence of the fragrance in a more appropriate manner!

Inspiration:  The combination of the aquatic, floral scent with the mermaid packaging paints a picture of a sunny beach vacation.  Take a piece of the beach with you no matter where you go with a few sprays of G of the Sea!

The snow is finally melting and we can begin to lose some of those layers. Are you ready to start showing off some skin again? As we get older, our eyes are the first place to show signs of aging. Life also just seems to get busier and busier! I for one am always on the go and as a consequence I’m sure I don’t get enough sleep. I’m noticing the dark circles under my eyes are more apparent. The new Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Roller by Garnier has been a blessing! Containing caffeine to help stimulate blood circulation counteracting my under eye puffiness while the lemon essence treats and brightens my dark circles. I always thought any product labeled “paste” would be too thick and sticky for my hair, so I avoided buying pastes when stocking up on product.  Little did I know that hair paste could actually be a great styling tool for bangs, angled cuts and shorter haircuts.  I recently tried Quantum Micro-V Polisher High Shine Paste to style my never-cooperating bangs and was thrilled with the results.  Applied on damp hair, the product allowed my hair to dry with a non-greasy texture that held its style all day long.  It was lightweight and flexible, which is perfect for the shorter pieces that sit close to the face.  I also applied a dime-sized amount to the bottom two inches of my hair and was pleased with the touch of shine it added to my do.

When it comes to fragrances I’m usually the romantic type leaning towards light floral scents with a hint of fruitiness. The latest fragrance by mark. – White Vetiver Fragrance Mist – is quite different from any scent I already own. It’s an unexpected blend of smoky vetiver mixed with feminine tuberose – definitely a daring scent for me. This gorgeous fragrance is slightly sweet due to the black plum and sparkling mandarin. The floral scents that I’m attracted to are introduced into this fragrance through tuberose and jasmine. The most interesting part is how these scents mix so well with the Haitian vetiver and patchouli making for one sultry yet subtle concoction.

GS Approved: Black and white is always in style. This sleek and modern bottle is softened by the feminine floral lid. A gorgeous addition to any vanity table.

Inspiration: This chameleon is best known for her role as vampire Alice in the Twilight Sagas. Ashley Green is the new face of mark. and I can definitely see why. This fresh faced up and coming star has what it takes and is always daring to be different.
